Isaac is on his way, the house is empty!!! The yellow car is already there, and the PODS are in transit now!

Lots of cute photos from last weekend are on the camera - we'll post more from Massachusetts.

Thanks Ma & Pa for all the packing help :-)

Today was my last day at InfoPrint. People were pretty bummed I was leaving, so they teased me for being a "short-timer"! :-) I've been there 3 years, but some of them have been at IBM/InfoPrint for more than 40 years! I really enjoyed working there so it was a hard decision to leave. I hope I like the new job as much!

My department and some other work friends took me out for lunch last Friday. I decided to bring Aidan so everyone could see him again and I could spend some extra time with him on a work day.

Clock-wise from bottom left: Janet, Bart, Mike, Jenna, Aidan, Tim, Greg, Joe, Carl, Steve, Bill, Mack, Gary, Tania, Will, and Holly

Mike helped feed Aidan! :-)

The last day came and went so quick, I couldn't believe it. I scrambled to get everything wrapped up and documented and passed on, but of course there's never enough time. I left it all in good hands though, so I'm not worried.

This time next week we'll be in Massachusetts!

The Boy Who Won't Sit Still

We might have finally spotted the eruption locations of Aidan's next two teeth: looks like the bottom lateral incisors are coming in!

Aidan is always on the move these days. He gravitates toward plastic bags, power cords, and tags (pictured above).

But daddy still has a few tricks up his sleeve!

At Aidan's 6-month visit he is starting to slim down (percentage wise), clearly the constant movement is burning some calories! He was 26 inches tall, 17.75 inches head circumference, and 14 lbs 6.5 ounces -- that's 50%, 25%, and 8%, respectively.

"Skinny chest ... like chicken -- strong legs ... like spider. Chicken chest, spider legs ... VERY FAST!!"

Busy Weekend

We had a totally packed weekend, and although it was actually a lot a fun, it was so stressful too. I wanted to post a few pictures of Aidan now to de-stress a little, then I'm going to bed!

Aidan had his first play-date yesterday - he went over Will and Chandra's to play with Carter and Keenan, and he had a great time! The boys were really excited to show him their cars, and even though he was more interested in putting them in his mouth, it sounds like they all had fun (and we got 2 hours to pack). Afterwards, we all went out to Radda one last time.

Today was a beautiful day so I went on the group ride up to Carter Lake, and then Isaac rode with Steve and Dave when I got back. While they rode, Michelle and I took Aidan out to Glacier for some ice cream. I had to get in some more chocolate mousse gelato before we leave!

We spent the rest of the weekend trying to pack and simultaneously entertain AJ. He loves exploring on the floor these days, but he's always trying to get power cords. Even after we hide them he's looking under the couch for them!

Still no 3rd tooth, but it's got to be close! Last night was a little better than the night before, but he's still been fussier than normal and has been squealing a lot!

Totally Addicted...

... to taking pictures of my little cutie! He's just so adorable all the time, it's impossible not to take tons of photos.

Yesterday he wore shorts to school for the first time, so of course he looked totally cute with his little legs out!

He's been working on his sitting skills. He can sit up for a while but doesn't actually pull himself up to that position yet.

He still loves standing too - obviously he can't balance by himself but he's pretty strong and does support himself really well.

I took Aidan for a walk after work yesterday, and he looked around and chewed on his toy the whole time!

mmm... purple

I had Isaac take a quick photo of us together too!

Aidan At Six Months

Aidan @ Six Months

Half a year has gone by already, which means it's also time for another official monthly update!

At six months, Aidan:
- Pulls himself along the floor with his military crawl (see video!)
- Eats solid food 3 times a day, with his favorites being peaches, bananas, and pears
- Turns himself around 180 degrees, but only to his right
- Jumps like crazy in his bouncy chair and Jumparoo
- Loves meeting people and showing off his big eyes
- Smiles a lot with a great big smile, and also has a cute, naughty grin we sometimes see
- Tries to put absolutely everything in his mouth

Here's a few photos from yesterday to mark half a year, "Just Lion Around":

And here's a photo from tonight mid-turn. He's spinning to the right, then he did his crawl to get to the keyboard.

Happy Easter too!

Fun Night Out

Last night Isaac, Aidan and I went over to Peter and Patsy's for a great dinner party. Since we're leaving soon I had to get a picture of us girls!

Aidan has the cutest giggle, and he was laughing and laughing earlier today. It's the best sound ever! And of course he looks adorable too with his toothy grin. He thinks Isaac is particularly hilarious!

AJ has been a great little boy all week, I think we've gone out every night and he loved it - dinner at Proto's Tuesday, Blue Sky clothing sorting on Wednesday, Blue Sky meeting Thursday, and dinner out tonight. He really liked the meeting last night since he got to look around at everyone and give them big smiles.

First Jogger Ride

It was beautiful out today, so all day I was excited about trying Aidan in the jogging stroller again, and this time he was big enough! So, we went for our first run in the Kelty, and he had a great time. He actually stayed awake and looked around!

Earlier in the week Isaac took AJ out in the Bjorne to get some fresh air when he wasn't feeling well. He's pretty much back to normal now, but we had a couple of rough nights in there. I'm so glad he's usually such a happy, easy baby!

Weekend In

Aidan hasn't been feeling very well today, but after some baby Motrin and some milk, he finally went down for a nap. He was still playful earlier, but his temperature went back up a bit and he just wanted hugs most of the morning.

We were supposed to have a blizzard yesterday, but I think it missed us and went north, and we only got an inch. It's still been cold though so we haven't done a whole lot. We did have great sushi last night, but it's mostly been an indoor weekend.

Just playing on the floor.

Yet another picture of those big blue eyes! :-)

In other news, we got out the doorway bouncer for Aidan to try yesterday, and he loved it! No more swing for AJ since that was on loan from the Kaminski's, who just had a baby boy! Now, his entertainment while we're upstairs is this new bouncy toy from my friend Tania.

Blue Eyed Boy

There were a couple of other photos from yesterday that I just had to post - I just love those big eyes!

And I love that toothy grin!

Escape from the Donut!

Last Christmas James & Britt got Aidan a great circular pillow that you plop him down into and let him play. We call it the "Donut". It's great because you can attach toys and let Aidan play while we're making dinner or any of the other forms of parental neglect. The Donut is great because you don't have to worry about Aidan getting into trouble ... until now!

Step 1: Aidan voices his displeasure at being put in the Donut. Or maybe he's protesting the latest parent-issued personalized onesie.

Step 2: Aidan rolls over and makes a leap over the wall. Short break to gnaw on some newly discovered fingers.

Step 3: He keeps squirming until he's mostly out of the Donut. Keep an eye on the adversary to make sure they don't try any funny business.

Step 4: One last roll and freedom!

To the victor goes the smiles.

But soon thereafter, he's right back where he started, and getting ready for Beantown.
